Week 7 of Term 1, Semester 1...
Jeez... so long between blog posts... I haven't disappeared, I've only been busy with school lunches, school bus trips and homework - as always. With two kids at school I spend lots of time supporting and helping them - lots of homework in Year 3 and 6. I have also been busy removing Christmas in all rooms - I think I'm done now!! No, I just realised I still have the Christmas curtains up in the kitchen... Oops!
The other day I made some changes in the bedroom. My Valentine's Day Bedroom turned into creamy white with sparkling snowflakes on the wall...
I was thinking the other day that i would really like to be more active here - like some of my favourite bloggers, Pamela with her blog From My Front Porch To Yours and Courtney with the blog French Country Cottage. There are so many other bloggers that I truly admire too. I just need a kick in the right direction... I need to get my spark back!
Have a lovely day - today I'm at home with Jonah who has an earache. After the school drop off we went to the GP, got some drops and now we are finally at home to rest - until it's time to go back and get Little Miss Princess in 1,5 hours... No rest for the wicked!
Oh, I almost forgot... ♥ Happy International Women's Day to all of us amazing women ♥

Oops, it's been a while since my last blog post. The school year has well and truly started and I've been totally absorbed in the kids' homework as well as continuing to remove Christmas. Yes, you read correctly... I'm still removing Christmas. It's been a long process this year. Slowly but surely, I'm getting my house back to normal again. - in time for Easter, maybe!!
I like keeping the red going after Christmas, especially to around Valentine's Day. Do you like my Valentine's Day bedroom? It's so nice and warm. Speaking of warm... We've had a heatwave here in South-East Queensland and it's been terrible. Too hot and too humid. This Viking does not enjoy the tropical climate we've been blessed with this week. Far out, it didn't matter if you had a shower or not. You were as sweaty after a shower - as before. Crazy!
Hope you all have a had a relaxing weekend! Thanks for stopping by ♥

The school holidays are well and truly on their way to the finishing line. The new school year starts on Monday the 22nd here in south-east Queensland. We've had a very relaxing Summer/Christmas holiday. I haven't been blogging much here, mainly at Swe-Aussie Xmas, my Christmas blog.
Welcome to our Swedish Corner Down Under Christmas home!
Let's start in the lounge room..
Candles and wreaths
Red and white Christmas
Poinsettias at the top making the furniture look amazingly festive
♥ Our Christmas tree ♥
Lots of candle holders everywhere...
Sure is the most wonderful time of the year!
Two trees at once!
Our Christmas kitchen...
God Helg - Happy Weekend,
a phrase used during Christmas/New Years
Our Yuletide Bed Room
I just adore our red and white Christmas bedroom with snowflakes, cute Christmas jumpers and cozy cushions.
Merry Christmas in Swedish
Posted this photo on my Instagram. I had just purchased a red and white curtain, and not knowing where to use it, I simply draped it over the bed for a festive yet subtle country look... ♥
As a tradition, Swedes don't remove the Christmas decorations until 20 days after Christmas, but I usually keep it up much longer as I enjoy it so immensely... ♥ I can't get enough of the red, I love the red everywhere and I love the warmth - even if it's 36°c/97°F outdoors. I love the way the Christmas decor makes me feel in the heart!
- Hope you like my home as much as I do.
Thank you for stopping by ♥

We had a quiet night at home on New Year's Eve
We ate scrumptious food and watched fireworks on TV.
- a perfect evening in my eyes!
I skipped the traditional white and silver table setting
and used red and white instead!
Still Christmas in my heart ♥
Saffron salmon with carrots and rosemary on a bed of basmati rice
Homemade chocolate mousse with blueberries
♥ Happy New Year ♥
Stay tuned for our New Year's Day table setting... ☺
